  • John G:

I’m voting for “skin tags,” which are usually the result of some kind of, ahem, “abrasion” over a period of time. You’ll often see them on overweight people in the neck area. They are harmless, but look sort of dangerous or strange.
Its a doctor question, so tell the b/f to drop trou for the doctor to have a look.
    Thye can be safely removed.

So typical of a guy. He has them for about a year and has yet to go to a doctor?
The only accurate answer anyone here could possibly provide is – tell him to make a doctor’s appointment. That, and I hope you haven’t been having sex – including oral – whilst these growths were present. It could be nothing, a sebaceous cell that’s been clogged but to let it go for a year is just soooooo …well, male.

  • Since you stated that he started getting them when he started shaving that area, they could simply be scarred over ingrown hairs. It doesn’t necessarily mean that it’s unhealthy, although the scar tissue can at times create an environment for infection which would lead to something similiar like a boil. It’s nothing really to worry about if he isn’t affected by it. But if something does come up, then it wouldn’t hurt anything to have it checked it out. But you asked about some history on the subject, here’s a little bit of interesting random info: Rasputan, the man responsible for the downfall of the Russian Zars, the last Rominoff family (remember the disney movie anastasia?) He apparently had a growth on the top of his penis, it wasn’t exactly a wart, but a growth, that happened to be on the topside of his penis near the base. Coincidently, this caused quite a stir in the female community and he was noted for being quite the lover. Just a little something to think about before you go have those things cut off. And in defense of your boyfriend, if it wasn’t bothering him, why have it checked out. Just cuz something is different, doesn’t mean it’s broken.

  • Sam:

i doubt if it’s a std, but hell, get it checked. you know, warts can appear anywhere on your body.

  • sukditup:

Sorry, it sounds like genital warts-especially the “clustered” description.

  • veesmom:

I wouldn’t go near it. Make him go to a doctor to get it checked out, and just so you know he’s not lying about what it is, you should go to the doctor with him. If he hasn’t done anything he shouldn’t be doing, he won’t object.
